When choosing IGCSE subjects, which one should I choose between First Language English and Second Language English?

First Language English covers the following topics:

-Grammar and vocabulary
-Writing and speaking
-Reading and literary comprehension
-Interpretation and analysis
-Criticism and comparison
First Language English is intended for students who use English as their first language. This subject requires a high level of language proficiency and literary understanding necessary for students to comprehend and use English effectively. Students can enhance their ability to analyze and criticize English literature works and develop logical and analytical writing skills.

Second Language English covers the following topics:

-Vocabulary and grammar
-Reading and writing
-Speaking and listening
-Cultural understanding and interaction
-Communication strategies
Second Language English is intended for students who use English as their second language. This subject focuses on building fundamental language skills such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation. This subject demands a minimum level of English proficiency necessary for students to work in English-speaking countries or to present papers at international academic conferences.

I recommended First Language English for my child, as this will be their last chance to focus on English studies. If you improve  English proficiency during this process, it will be satisfactory. Furthermore, receiving a C in First Language English is considered a better evaluation than receiving a B in Second Language English.

However, the choice is up to you!
